Mahatma Gandhi Biography :
- Muahatma Gandhi’s father was the cheif minister of porbandar that was a state in india.
- Gandhi was youngest son of his fourth wife.
- Gandhi’s mother was uneducated but very religious woman.
- Gandhi got married at the age of 13.
- Mahatma Gandhi was not so brilliant in studies, but he was a different child at school.
- In 1988 at the of 18 gandhi left for London to study law.
- Gandhi practiced his law for some years in south africa. But he faced racial descrimination there.
- So he decided to fight for the removal of this discrimination and on that bases he formed
his own party Natal Indian Congress in 1894. - Gandhi fought for indian’s rights in south Aftrica for many years.
- Gandhi started his Satyagraha(Non voilence) campaign against the british rule in india
after he saw the injustice and brutality on indian peoples. - Gandhi imprisoned for 4 years on the bases of some elegations on him
in 1922 but released after two years. - Mahatma Gandhi started a campaign also in which he convinced indian people not to buy
british products but produce their own. - In 1930 british govt passed Salt act in which they imposes many taxes and other
restrictions on Indian salt. - Gandhi stood against this act and mojarity of indian peoples stood with him on this.
