- Bruce Lee was born in Chinatown, San Francisco and later on he moved to Hong Kong with parents.
- At the age of 18,he went back to United State for education at University of Washington,where he started teaching martial arts.
- He called what he taught Jun Fan Gung Fu (literally Bruce Lee’s Kung Fu).
- Bruce Lee opened his first martial arts school, named the Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute, in Seattle.
- In 1964,Lee moved to Oakland to his friend James Lee who was Chinese martial artist . They opened Second Jun Fan martial art studio in Oakland .
- At the invitation of Ed Parker, Lee appeared in the 1964 Long Beach International Karate Championships and performed.
- After three years in 1967,Lee appeared again in Long Beach International Karate Championships and performed.
