Abdul Kalam As Scientist:

Dr.Abdul Kalam joined the Defence Research and Development Organization  as a scientist in india. In 1969, Dr .Abdul Kalam was transferred to the Indian Space Research Organisation where he was the project director of India’s first Satellite Launch Vehicle .After working for two decades in ISRO( Indian Space Research Organisation ) and mastering launch vehicle technologies, Dr. Kalam took up the responsibility of developing Indigenous Guided Missiles at DRDO as the Chief Executive of Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme .Dr. Kalam was the Scientific Adviser to Defence Minister and Secretary, Department of Defence Research & Development from  1992 to December 1999.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was elected against Lakshmi Sehgal in 2002 and had support from both the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress.
