  • Birth and Early Education: Roshan Khan was born on 26 November 1929 in Peshawar. He received his primary education from the Islami School Uthmanzai in Charsadda. However, he couldn’t pursue further education due to the challenging circumstances during the British Government of India’s rule.
  • Family Background: Roshan Khan belonged to the renowned Khan Family. He was the cousin of another squash legend, Hashim Khan, and the father of the legendary player Jahangir Khan.
  • Early Achievements: Roshan Khan made a mark in squash early in his career, winning the Pakistani Open three consecutive years from 1951 to 1953.
  • Prominence in Squash: Alongside Hashim Khan, Roshan Khan was one of the prominent figures in early Pakistani squash. He notably defeated Mehmood ul Karim in the final of the Dunlop Open in 1954.
  • International Recognition: Roshan Khan’s talent and skill earned him international recognition. He was awarded the British Open Award in 1957, becoming the second Pakistani squash player to achieve this honor. Additionally, he clinched the US Open title in 1958, 1960, and 1961.
