STEPHEN HAWKING Life Biography/Career !

  • Stephen was a British Scientist, professor and author who was famous for  in physics and cosmology.
  • At age 21, while studying  at the University of Cambridge (cosmology), Stephen was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis .
  • Hawking postulated (In 1970 ) what became known as the second law of black hole dynamics .
  • In January 1971,His essay named  “Black Holes” won the Gravity Research Foundation Award.
  • In 1979, Stephen was elected  Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge.
  • With collaboration of Brandon Carter, David Robinson and Werner Israel Hawking  provided a mathematical proof of John Wheeler’s so-called “No-Hair Theorem”.
  • In 1974, Hawking and his partner  Jacob Bekenstein showed that black holes are not  completely black, but that they should thermally create and emit sub-atomic particles, known today as Hawking radiation.
  • At the age of 32 (In 1974), Hawking  was elected as one of the youngest ever Fellows of the Royal Society.
  • In his 2010 book “The Grand Design” he states  that
    [quote style=’1′ cite=” title=”]”spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist. It is not necessary to invoke God…to set the universe going”[/quote].
