Momina Basit Biography:
- Momina Basit is a Pakistani politician. Momina Basit was born in Mirpur union of Abbottabad District.
- She completed her schooling from her hometown and then pursued O/A levels examination through Cambridge Board. She also holds a masters degree in Public Administration (MPA).
- In 2011 she joined Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) along with her father after Imran Khan visited Abbottabad. Dr. Basit, father of Momina Basit was among one of the speakers in the political gather after which Imran Khan requested him to join PTI along with his daughter. She is chairperson standing committee Zakat, Ushr, social welfare and women empowerment department KP.
- She is former president of the Women Wing Hazara and also a member of the central executive committee of the PTI. Momina said this was the start of her political career along with PTI.
- In 2012 she participated in intra party elections and was successful in securing highest number of votes from her Tehsil.
- She was interested in participating in 2013 general elections but later backed out in support of another candidate for PTI.
- She also visited other parts of Hazara Division to pursue people in support of PTI. After winning the elections Momina was awarded PTI ticket on reserved seats for women.
- She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on a reserved seat for women in 2018 Pakistani general election.
