Who is Dost Muhammad Khan?
Dost Muhammad Khan was born in Bennu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He completed his graduation from a local college in Bennu before pursuing a law degree from Government Sindh Muslim Law College Karachi in 1976. Following his education, he embarked on his career as a lawyer.
Dost Muhammad Khan’s illustrious legal career saw him rise to prominent positions within the Pakistani judiciary. He served as the Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court from November 17, 2011, to January 31, 2014. Subsequently, he assumed the role of Senior Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan from February 1, 2014, to 20 March 2018.
On June 5, 2018, Dost Muhammad Khan was appointed as the caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He officially assumed office on June 6, 2018, taking on the responsibility of leading the provincial government during a transitional period.
