What is Defence Day ( Youm-e-Difa ) ?
Defence Day is national day ( in Pakistan ) to commemorate in the memory of Pakistan’s successful defence against India that marked the ceasefire in the 1965 war on 6 September. In 1965 , the Indian army attacked Pakistan without any declaration, this was done to startle the army and catch them off guard. The Indian forces did what they could do. fantasizing of capturing Pakistan. The Pakistani army fought with great valour..they’re weapons were the most powerful of all bravery, courage, compassion and the love of their country and the uncountless prayers they were getting from all over the country. Their souls were ready for the honor of being martyr.
This fight prevailed over a 17 days period and Pakistan won this war with a great advantage banishing the Indians out of their country Pakistan. Many of our soldiers lost their lives during this battle.

Defence Day Celebrations and Parades :
On Defence day ,Army of Pakistan displays their latest missiles, tanks, guns, army aviation helicopters and armament being used by Army. Everyone is allowed to watch such functions live by going to the specific places. National songs and special documentary about 6 September 1965 and martyred people of 6 September are displayed on TV . The change of guard ceremony takes place at Mazar-e-Quaid (Quaid-e-Azam ) Karachi.
