Who is Narendra Modi ?

Narendrais an Indian politician serving as the 14th and current Prime Minister of India since 2014. He was Born to a Gujarati family. Modi helped his father sell tea as a child and later ran his own stall in Gujrat.

Narendra Modi Biography:

Modi was appointed general secretary of the “Gujarat Lok Sangharsh Samiti”, an RSS committee coordinating opposition to the Emergency in Gujarat in 1975.
He was elected organizing secretary of the BJP’s Gujarat in 1987.
He rose within the party and was named a member of the BJP’s National Election Committee in 1990.
Modi promoted to BJP general secretary (organisation) in May 1998.
On 3 October 2001 became Chief Minister of Gujarat.(Rajkot – II )
He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014.
In 2014,BJP Nominated Modi’s Name for Prime Minister and he won election and became 14th Prime Minister.
During his premiership, India rose to the 100th rank in the 2018 Ease of Doing Business ranking by World Bank
