Who is Ali Khan Tareen?
Ali Khan Tareen, widely known as Ali Tareen, is a Pakistani social entrepreneur, development advocate, and emerging political figure. Son of the influential politician and businessman Jahangir Tareen, Ali has carved out his own identity through his extensive work in social development, youth empowerment, and regional upliftment—especially in South Punjab.
Ali first gained national attention during the Lodhran NA-154 (now NA-161) by-elections held on February 12, 2018. His progressive campaign style, grounded approach, and focus on grassroots mobilization earned him praise across the political spectrum.
Although he withdrew from contesting the 2018 General Elections to complete his Master’s degree at Oxford, Ali continued to invest his energy into the social and economic transformation of South Punjab, particularly Lodhran.
